About the event
The BMO Golf Day at Thabazimbi Golf Club is more than just a day on the fairways—it’s a powerful initiative with a purpose. This annual event supports Bosveld Misdaad Ondersoeke (BMO), a non-profit community-driven investigative unit founded to combat serious crimes such as farm attacks, rhino poaching, and armed robbery in the Thabazimbi region.
After the community lost the vital expertise of ex-SAPS Lt. Col. Sakkie Louwrens due to economic and industry challenges, residents united to form BMO and retain his specialist investigative skills and strong relationships with law enforcement. The golf day helps raise critical funding to ensure BMO can continue its mission of supporting law, order, and safety in our rural and wildlife-rich communities.
By taking part, golfers not only enjoy a competitive and scenic round on our course but also contribute to the fight against crime and the preservation of security in the Bushveld.
